China-based smartphone manufacturer Infinix has made a strong appearance in the smartphone world by launching the Note 4. The company claims that the device has features that are capable of giving tough competition to other smartphones within the same price range.

Design & Display

The device is well built. While the front side looks expensive, the back panel, unfortunately, does not impress. The curved design of the back panel, gives the phone a unibody look, although the back panel is removable. Along the right side are power and volume buttons, while there is nothing on the left. Along the top edge of the phone, you’ll observe the 3.5mm audio jack and bottom houses a speaker and charging port. The Note 4 also has a fingerprint sensor combined with the home button. The Note 4 features 5.7-inch IPS LCD full HD panel, with the resolution of 1920 1080 pixels, providing high definition and image density. The screen has a large margin of brightness, balanced colour reproduction and wide viewing angles.

Software & Specs

The Infinix Note 4 runs XOS Chameleon v2.3 OS on top on Android 7.0 Nougat and powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chip paired up with 2GB of RAM, providing the Note 4 with excellent performance. There is a  32GB built-in storage and a microSD card slot wish you expand further up to 128GB. However, this smartphone is not the best choice to watch heavily encoded videos and play graphically intensive games. But as for day-to-day tasks, the Note 4 proved its performance without lag, stutter or crashes. The home screen is a standard, however, the OS is preloaded with a bunch of apps, which cannot be uninstalled. Interesting, the XOS allows its users to install and use, say, two Tinder accounts on the same device in a similar to Parallel Spaceway. Shortly speaking, you can run two different Tinder accounts on this smartphone.

The Infinix Note 4 has two cameras. One is dual-tone LED flash 13-megapixel rear camera. The second one is 8-megapixel front camera offers a beauty mode for enhanced selfies and fast shutter speed. Camera app features all standard options such as panorama and HDR-like any other smartphone.

The Infinix Note 4 is equipped with a powerful 4,300 mAh battery, that can outlast most smartphones out there. The smartphone will easily last through a day with heavy usage. Fast charging is available, so when the battery goes critical, you can replenish the battery from 5% to full in just 90 minutes.
