INFINIX ZERO 2: SLIMMER, LIGHTER, TOUGHER

Finding a good and relatively inexpensive smartphone is very difficult. If you find something that you really like, after a detailed review, you still can find a lot of shortcomings, especially if you want to find them. Chinese brand Infinix released an eye-catching Infinix Zero 2 that can satisfy even a very demanding user. Although it’s not an iPhone or a Samsung, the Zero 2 model has got cool features at an affordable price.

Design & Display

The  Infinix Zero 2 features quite simple, yet beautiful design. The body is made from kevlar fibre which is five times tougher and lighter than steel, making the device tough enough to withstand unexpected rough falls. Dimensions are 145 x 71.5 x 6.5 mm. Weighing only 118 grams, it feels as light as a feather. Once it touches your palms, you discover the sophistication and ultra flexibility. The left side carries the Dual SIM tray while the right side bears the microSD card slot, volume rockers and power button. The bottom features microphone and speakers, and 3.5 earphone jack and micro USB port are set on top. The smartphone features a 5.0 inch Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 294-pixel density showing vibrant and saturated colours.

Hardware & Software

Powered by a 2.0GHZ octa-core Cortex A7 CPU with MediaTek MT6592 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM, the Infinix Zero 2 delivers speedy and lag-free performance. It features 16GB/32GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot up to 32GB, wishes you expand. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat which is a bit disappointing since Android Marshmallow 6.0 has been out. Anyway, custom launchers are available on Google Play, therefore you can change it to suit your preference at any time.

Camera

The main 13 megapixels camera captures beautiful photos even in poor lightning. Pictures still look sharp and natural without excessive colours. The 5MP front camera allows you to take pretty decent selfies as well. One of the camera’s highlights is an 85-degree wide angle so that you can squeeze in more people into your selfie.

Battery

The smartphone comes with the lithium-ion battery of 2300mAh, which is a bit too small to run throughout the entire day. Heavy usage will drain the battery in 5 hours. If you are a heavy user, you need a power bank by your side if you want this phone to last a whole day.
